INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF STONES PLAYERS

Adopted as amended by the Commissioner of the International Association of Stones Players in New York, NY.

ARTICLE II – APPLICATION FOR MEMBERSHIP

Any individual desiring membership in the International Association of Stones Players shall make its application to the Chairman via an online form or through the mail. If accepted, the applicant will be assigned to a League if applicant lives within reasonable transit distance to an existing League.

ARTICLE III – APPLICATION FOR LEAGUE FORMATION

Any individual or entity desiring to start a League in the International Association of Stones Players shall make its application to the Chairman via an online form or through the mail. The official residence of the League must be approved by the Commissioner and meet the safety requirements of the town, state, and country of proposed location.

ARTICLE IV– DUES

Membership fees in the Association shall be Thirty-Five American dollars ($35.00) per year, regardless of number of Leagues in the Association.  Members must also purchase official stones from International Association of Stones Players in order to be eligible to play in the league. Fees and the purchase of new stones must be made on the anniversary of the member’s acceptance in the League.

League fees in the Association shall be Two thousand, Five hundred American dollars ($2,500) per year, regardless of the number of Leagues in the Association. The fee will cover three (6) sets of Stones, all national marketing material, all costs related to providing referees and officials during Tournament season, and for the first year only, it shall include an official International Association of Stones Players table.

ARTICLE V – APPOINTMENT OF OFFICERS

The Commissioner of the Association, in conjunction with representatives from the underwriters, CCG New York, LLC, will appoint a Chairman, Vice Chairman to serve for one fiscal year at a time.

ARTICLE VI – ELECTION OF IASP LEADERSHIP COMMITTEE PRESIDENT

Each International Association of Stones Players Leadership Committee Delegate shall have one vote at the annual meeting to elect a new President. Any member unable to attend will be allowed to vote in the election by Absentee Ballot, said Ballot to be mailed in a sealed envelope to the Vice Chairman plainly marked on the outside, stating the election title; said enveloped not to be opened until the vote is taken by the members present at the annual meeting of the Association.

ARTICLE VII – ELECTION OF IASP LEADERSHIP COMMITTEE DELEGATES

Each International Association of Stones Players League shall have an annual meeting in which members of the League shall have one vote to elect an International Association of Stones Players Leadership Committee Delegate for their designated region. Any member unable to attend will be allowed to vote in the election by Absentee Ballot, said Ballot to be mailed in a sealed envelope to the Vice Chairman plainly marked on the outside, stating the election title; said enveloped not to be opened until the vote is taken by the members present at the annual meeting of the Association.

ARTICLE VIII – FILLING OFFICE VACANCIES

If, for any reason, an elective office becomes vacant between the regular Annual Meeting, such vacancy or vacancies shall be filled for the unexpired portion of the regular term of such office or officers by the Commissioner. The Chairman shall fill a vacancy of the office of Commissioner. In the event the Chairman cannot assume the office of Commissioner, then, and only then, shall the Vice Chairman assume the office of Commissioner.  In the event the Vice Chairman cannot assume the office of Commissioner, then, and only then, shall the President of the International Association of Stones Players Leadership Committee assume the office of Commissioner.

ARTICLE IX– DUTIES OF OFFICERS

The Commissioner shall preside at all meetings (regular and special) of the Association and shall conduct the meetings in accordance with parliamentary procedure as set forth by the underwriters, CCG New York, LLC.

As promptly as possible following his appointment, the Commissioner shall appoint officers to all vacant offices.

The Commissioner shall perform all duties of the office deemed to be required of the office, or as may be specifically ordered by the underwriters, CCG New York, LLC.

The Chairman shall assume and perform all of the duties of the Commissioner during his incapacity.  In the event the Chairman in unable for any reason to assume the duties of the Commissioner, then, and only then, the Vice Chairman assume the duties of the Commissioner.  In the event the Vice Chairman is unable for any reason to assume the duties of the Commissioner, then, and only then the President of the International Association of Stones Players Leadership Committee assume the duties of Commissioner.

The Chairman is responsible for reviewing and accepting member and League applications. The Chairman is responsible for the integrity of the game and oversees the appointment of all officials, the changing of rules, and the planning and execution of all tournaments.

The Vice Chairman shall fully and accurately record the proceedings of all regular and special meetings of the Association, shall attend to all correspondence. The Vice Chairman will notify all voting members of the Board, at least twenty (20) days prior to the Annual Meeting of any suggested changes in the Constitution, By-Laws, or Rules and the names of those who have been nominated for office for the ensuing year, asking those who will not be present to vote by Absentee Ballot.

The President of the International Association of Stones Players Leadership Committee shall fully represent and communicate the needs to the Leagues and International Association of Stones Players Leadership Committee Delegates to the Board of Directors. The President of the International Association of Stones Players Leadership Committee shall oversee all League and Delegate communication and lead all advocacy programs for the sport.

The International Association of Stones Players Leadership Committee Delegates shall be ardent promoters of Shuttlestones activities.  Their primary duty will be to promote the International Association of Stones Players and all affiliated Tournaments in their designated regions.

CCG New York, LLC shall be the sole custodian of the Corporation Seal, and of all funds of the Association.  They shall draw all checks on the funds of the Association.  All checks of the Association shall be countersigned by the Commissioner.

ARTICLE X – BOARD OF DIRECTORS

The Board of Directors shall hold an Annual Meeting and regular and special meetings between the dates of the Annual Meeting as often as may be deemed to be necessary for the efficient functioning of the Association, in accordance with the Constitution and By-Laws of the Association, and for the orderly and expeditious transaction of routine business of the Association.

Any suggested change in the Rules of the Association must be mailed to the Chairman at least ten (10) days prior to the Semi-Annual Meeting.  These changes will then be presented to the Board at the Semi-Annual Meeting, discussed, and placed on the Agenda for the next Annual Meeting.

ARTICLE XI – TOURNAMENTS

Naturals Tournaments shall be held once a year. The Dunn Invitational shall be held at every League four months prior to the International Association of Stones Players Championships to establish standings. The Derenne Qualifiers will be held two months prior to the International Association of Stones Players Championships at every League, awarding top players the opportunity to participate in the International Association of Stones Players Championships.

The Commissioner shall determine the location, date and format of all tournaments.  The Chairman will work with the host League to determine the distribution of the prize money after expenses.

ARTICLE XII – EXCLUSIVE VENDOR

CCG New York, LLC shall be the exclusive vendor of all Stones, Tables, Uniforms, and Shuttlestones related merchandise.

ARTICLE XIII – AMENDMENTS

There are no current changes to the By-Laws.
